HOW TO: Disable / Hide / Remove Skype Targeting Advertisements From All Desktop Versions
Minutes ago we have reported that Skype has implemented targeted advertisement system on all Desktop versions. And because of these advertisements some of you might be feeling irritating and wondering if you can get rid of these advertisements. Certainly, there is a way to block/hide/remove all these advertisements. Follow our step by step guide to disable, hide or to remove Skype targeting advertisements from all Desktop versions.
Step One
Sign in your Skype client as the option is not available in offline mode.
Step Two
Navigate to tools -> options.

Step Three
In options, look in the left panel and you will find ‘Notifications’ tab, click on it.

Step Four
Under Notifications look for ‘Alerts & Messages’, and click it.

Step Five
In ‘Alerts & Messages’ look into the right panel and you will see a check-box next to Promotions, un-check it and click on Save.

Step Six
Sign out and Re-Sign in to see the changes.
