Facebook Launches New Mobile Website for All Mobile Devices!
Facebook has reportedly launched a new mobile website for all mobile phones. This is a major upgrade to the social networking website’s mobile version.
For those who don’t know, Facebook for mobile devices currently holds two mobile phone versions, the first version can be accessed using m.mobile.com and the other by navigating to touch.mobile.com. The primary version is made for all devices with touch screens while the secondary version is designed for advanced smartphones hardware, according to Mashable.
The company is facing huge difficulties to maintain multiple mobile websites, the company thinks that because of two different interfaces with the same back-end will not help the company to concentrate and build new features.
From today, Facebook will be rolling out all it’s users on m.facebook.com. Facebook’s Lee Byron said in an official announcement:

“There will no longer be a difference between m.facebook.com and touch.facebook.com, we’ll automatically serve you the best version of the site for your device.”The new Facebook will load depending on your hardware, writes Ben Parr, but there will be a slight change in interface for different hardware which will be visible:
The new website is made possible through a new UI framework that incorporates XHP (a PHP extension that incorporates XML), Javelin (Facebook’s lightweight Javascript framework) and WURFL (an open source mobile device database). The framework is dynamic enough to detect the UI and limitations of individual devices and adjust to them automatically. You will soon see a new version as it’s already rolling out! Maybe the new version will stop the fame of Android and iOS applications! Let’s see!
