Apple Is Looking to ‘Radically Improve’ iOS Map
Since Apple is currently using Google Maps as their default maps, they want to improve their maps radically, to improve their default maps and location services Apple is looking for an iOS Maps Application Developer, according to a job posting on Apple’s official website.

The Maps team is looking for an exceptional developer to join us in our mission to radically improve how people interact with maps and location-based services.Apple has been reportedly working on it’s Map solutions lately and four job listings were found to improve it’s location based services. Just to add more information Apple also acquired PlaceBase in late 2009 and Poly9 (Canadian based mapping company) on July 14th 2010 and surprisingly both companies are specialized in map services.
Along with excellent skills in object-oriented software design and programming, the successful candidate will have real-world experience developing sophisticated user interfaces. Excellent communication skills are also a must, as you will be collaborating closely with Apple’s peerless human interface team to add new and innovative features.
